We chose the COLDEST day of the year for our first ever pop up in Hitchin! It was March 1st, the snow was on the ground, (one family even sledged to come and visit us!) and we were set up outside a gelato shop! What could possibly go wrong?

We had promised a new menu – smoked brisket arancini anyone? Thinking a nice quiet evening would be a good chance to experiment. Quiet it was not! We were overwhelmed by the support of the Hitchin massif who all piled down and queued in the snow to get their BBQ fix. Fabio’s Gelato put on some great Italian beers and the crowd were content. 

We had completely sold out by 9.30pm! 

A huge thank you to everyone who made the trek through ice and snow – we were totally chuffed. Also, a huge thank you to the team at Fabio’s Gelato having us pitch up outside their turf – If you haven’t tried their amazing range of gelato made on site – DO IT!
